You must have noticed that your CBD flowers have a limited lifespan, because like other plants, the CBD flower undergoes chemical transformations caused by several factors that we will detail here. We will try to allow you to obtain a better conservation of your flowers.

THE DIFFERENT DEGRADATION FACTORS
We will present you the 4 factors to monitor and control for better conservation, such as light, humidity, temperature, and air.
THE LIGHT
In this first factor it will be necessary to protect your flowers and especially the trichomes from UV rays which will deteriorate them. Trichomes are glands where its stored terpenes and cannabinoids.
TEMPERATURE
This second factor is very important because a temperature between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius initially accelerates the drying of your flowers and secondly will promote the appearance of mold. So of course with the drying out, alteration of cannabinoids and evaporation of terpenes, as for molds you will lose the taste and flavors of your flowers.
HUMIDITY
This is also a very important factor which can lead to a mass influx of mold and especially of a disease known as downy mildew. We advise you for a good conservation of your flowers to keep a humidity level between 55 and 65%. Under 55% humidity you will have a flower that will dry faster and above 65% a more humid flower that will mold more easily. We are aware that it is difficult to maintain an ideal rate, but if you want you will easily find accessories on the market that will allow you to optimize the humidity level of your storage.
THE AIR
Be careful with the oxygen supply, indeed too much oxygen will accelerate the decomposition process of the flower and therefore the loss of the effects of CBD and the aromatic palette of the flower. You will also notice a transformation of the color which will tend to turn brown.
SO HOW DO YOU STORE YOUR CBD FLOWER CORRECTLY?
From your purchase you will receive your flowers in airtight and anti-UV plastic bags, these bags are efficient and suitable for quick consumption. For long-term storage, we recommend that you opt instead for the use of a glass container with a rubber seal. Be careful to use a suitable container to minimize the air present in it. We recommend a 3/4 filling without packing the flowers. This container must then be stored in a cool place between 10 and 24 degrees Celsius and above all away from light.
Some people have the idea of freezing their CBD flowers, beware this is a very bad idea because the trichomes turn into ice and destroy the cannabinoids and terpenes present in it. Also forget the idea of keeping your flowers in the refrigerator because humidity and cold are not good conditions for optimal storage.
Here is if you respect all these rules you will be able to easily keep your flowers for at least 1 year or more. But don’t panic, the natural degradation of a CBD flower takes a very long time.
